The Dancin' Machine comes again to PLDC

Gene and Sharon Weiser will be teaching a Cha Cha lesson THIS SATURDAY at Prairie Land Dance Club.  The Prairie Ballroom Dance is held one Saturday a month, and the March dance is the 16th.  Gene and Sharon's lesson begins at 7pm and is still a bargain at $5/pp.  The Ballroom dance will follow at 8pm, also just $5/pp!  (PLDC members pay $3/pp for the dance.)

East Coast Swing Lesson PLUS The GROOVE

Prairie Land will start a new 6-week East Coast Swing class session Wednesday January 11th at the club. 1/2 off deals are available at the door. Interested couples (and singles) are welcome to come on out to the club Wednesday evening at 6:30pm to register. Class fee for the 6-week session is normally $60 for a cou0ple, so with the 1/2 off deal it's JUST $30/couple (singles would be 1/2 that amount). Purchase of the 6-week session also entitles you to FREE admission to the Wed and Fri dances for the 6-week period.

Coming up THIS SATURDAY, January 14th, is the GROOVE dance with Steve Hendren. Kim Beachy and Soleman Krebs will provide a one hour lesson!! Don't miss this great West Coast Swing dance. It's loads of fun. West Coast Swing dancing, Country 2-Step, and Night Club 2-Step plus some Hustle and maybe even a bit of ECS!! The fun starts at 7pm -- See you then.

I-72 to exit 122, turn towards Illiopolis. Drive past blue water tower on right, then turn right at next street - Matilda. Drive one mile and club is on the left.

The GROOVE is coming to Prairie Land!

The GROOVE kicks off the first dance December 3rd beginning at 7pm.

KIM BEACHY will teach an Intermediate West Coast Swing lesson at 7 pm.
At 8 pm, host Steve Hendren reports there will be open dancing to enjoy until 11pm or so.

WCS, C2S, NC2, Hustle

Snacks and drinks are availabe at PLDC for purchase. This is an alcohol free facility, but Uncle Monkey's is on the right as you come into Illiopolis.
Cost is $3 for members of PLDC, $5 for non-members for the dance.
Lessons will be an additional $5 for all .
For those who are not familiar with West Coast Swing, Steve will work with you to get you up and running so you too can enjoy The GROOVE.

Coming Saturday, November 5th from 7pm until 11pm,

this new MONTHLY DANCE will feature great dance music and lots of

West Coast Swing dancing, Country 2-Step, and Night Club 2-Step.

We may even sneak in a little Hustle, and maybe an occasional line dance.

But our focus will be WCS, C2S, and NC2S.

We'll be planning some lessons as well.

Prairie Barn Dance w/Contra, Square & Circle Dances

November 12th 7-11pm

Come join the Callers and Live Band for some dancing -- never done this before? Well, join the group and learn how! It's fun for everyone, singles, couples, kids, teens, seniors and families. Dress casually for a fun night in jeans and/or dresses. All ages enjoy the CONTRA dance because it is easy and fun. At the beginning of each dance they will walk through all the easy steps with the dancers, and then they will call out each step as the music is played. The dances are a combination of Contra-Line Dance, Circle/Round Dance, Virginia Reel, Folk Dance and Square Dance.

NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

Ballroom Dance & Salsa Lesson September 17th

The next Prairie Ballroom Dance is coming up Saturday September 17th.

Cathy Hempstead from Dance Partners in Bloomington ( http://www.dancepartners.info/) will be your instructor for a Salsa Workshop from 7-8pm. This workshop is just $5 per person.

The Ballroom Dance follows from 8-11pm with all sorts of wonderful Ballroom music. Admission is just $5 per person, $3 if you're a member of Prairie Land Dance Club.

Remember that the Prairie Ballroom Dance and Workshop is always the 3rd Saturday of the month. Come out and enjoy the great dance floor, the great music and great people!
